High ROI Uses
Users of the the KenBay Clydesdale compactor vary throughout the
world from; compacting electronic components, to expired medicines, to metal
shavings, to improperly baked bread.
Yet, the three most common uses in hundreds of companies are compacting
general trash, paper (much of which is corrugated) and plastic.
Production workers extracting parts to be assembled at the beginning of an
assembly line are able to throw the empty boxes and/or packing materials
into a Clydesdale compactor. It is the last time anyone will need to handle
the waste. No gaylords, no bins, no receptacles. Just straight into the
Clydesdale. Save valuable floor space, reduce labor hauling waste,
eliminate waste around disposal areas and more importantly
significantly lower hauling costs.
The Clydesdale's high compaction ratio makes it ideal for many recycling
plans.
General Trash: Remove the barrel, gaylord or dumpster
you're currently putting your general waste in and replace it with the space
saving Clydesdale. With only a 4' X 5' footprint, the Clydesdale sits
at the source of your waste, continuously compacting at an on average
compaction ratio of 6 to 1.
Cardboard and Paper: Just throw cardboard boxes in the
Clydesdale and walk away. No breaking down, no staging area, no carting
boxes to specified areas to accumulate, reduce forklift traffic. After
the full compaction cycle all that's left is a plastic bag weighing roughtly
750 lbs. Keep the sealed bag either inside or out and in the process clean
up your facility, leaving a safer work environment.
Plastic: The procedure for plastic is similar to cardboard
and paper except that the bagged plastic will weight less, probably about
500 lbs per bag. The Clydesdale also excels in the time consuming task
of compacting of plastic wrap.
Getting Waste/Recyclables into the Compactor
Manual Feed through the Loading Door: The Clydesdale has
three modes of activation: 1) push the run button and compaction will start
and continue on for whatever timer is set at (between one and twelve
minutes), 2) with an auto-restart kit installed, the Clydesdale can be set
to automatically engage for a preset time, e.g., 5 minutes and will rest for
a preset time, 3) with heavy continuous waste, users engage the Clydesdale
continuously.
From a Conveyor Belt: The Clydesdale is able to continuosly
accept waste, including recyclable materials through the top opening via a
conveyor.
Through Pneumatic Systems: Used in a number of different
applications, the Clydesdale is able to accept material through the top via
a phenumatic system. It is especailly prevelant in the printing industries
to collect run-off from saddle stichers and trimmers.
Gravity Feed Through a Chute: A number of companies have
placed the Clydesdale on their factory floor and fed waste into the
compactor using a chute located on an upper floor. With an additional set of
controls, a worker can operate the machine remotely
